HOUSTON--- The Millions More Movement(MMM) Ministry of Health's  "How To..." Series  is a monthly interactive seminar that covers a range of critical health issues with the purpose of teaching Houston citizens tips on how to get the best out of life by improving the quality of their health.
An estimated 300,000 Americans die of obesity-related causes each year, and the cost of obesity and inactivity account for nearly 10 percent of all health care expenses. Direct medical costs of obesity alone top $100 billion annually, and the price tag keeps skyrocketing. Good health requires both preventive measures and curative programs. Central to preventive measures is healthy food and healthy eating.
Part 3 of the "How to..." series will be "How To Cook To Live" on Saturday, October 27th at SHAPE Community Center. The FREE event will include live cooking demonstrations by top Houston cooks as they show you LIVE how to prepare healthy alternatives to your favorite southern comfort foods..... and the best part is you get to taste the food for FREE!
